NOTICE

When the parents accept the formal offer of a place (by signing the Registration Form and paying the registration fee ), a contract arises between the parents and the school. Under that contract the parents are committed to pay the first term’s fees. Thereafter, a clear term’s notice of intention to withdraw a child must be given in writing to the Headmistress, or a term’s fees paid in lieu.

PROMPT PAYMENT ALLOWANCE

The gross termly fees are subject to a prompt payment discount only if the fees are paid within the first week of term.

LATE PAYMENT SURCHARGE

Norfolk House School reserves the right to impose a 5% surcharge for fees paid after the first six weeks of term.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

For security and administrative reasons, we would be grateful if all school fees could be paid by cheque and not cash. Please make cheques payable to NORFOLK HOUSE SCHOOL and write your child’s name and form number on the reverse of the cheque. Please send the cheque with the tear off slip from the bottom of your invoice sheet in an envelope clearly marked with your child’s name and form.

ABSENCE

No remission of fees came be made for absence in the case of illness, accident, holidays taken during term time or the closing of the school in any circumstances beyond the control of the school.

HOLIDAYS

Holidays during term time should always be avoided, but in exceptional circumstances application should be made to the Headmistress for leave of absence.

OTHER MATTERS

The school reserves the right to discontinue the education of any pupil whose work or conduct is considered unsatisfactory.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Two academic part-scholarships are available for the final two years at Norfolk House.   One scholarship is internal, and is awarded for academic ability and potential.   The other is external, for a pupil joining the school at 9+.   They are awarded on the results of scholarship examinations in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning.   The part-scholarhsip involves a reduction in the gross termly fees.
