Pastoral Care

We understand that in leaving your child in our care you are reposing great trust in us. We take our duty of care towards your child very seriously and do everything in our power to ensure that he or she is safe, comfortable and happy. The front and the rear areas of the school are monitored by CCTV cameras; we engage the services of specialist Health and Safety consultants; all members of staff, whether teaching or ancillary, are screened for previous convictions which would make them unsuitable to work with children; activities within the school and trips are carefully risk-assessed; and the staff are appropriately trained in first aid techniques.

Fostering and developing a child’s sense of well-being is extremely important. Class teachers have prime responsibility for their pupils and liaise closely with parents over any concern. However, the Headmistress is always available to meet with parents, as is the Chairman of Directors if appropriate.

All members of staff have school e-mail addresses which are made available to parents.
