We are seeking an inspirational teacher who is confident in teaching English and Maths. The ideal candidate would be passionate about fostering excellence in our students. Pupils enjoy the freedom of a diverse and stimulating curriculum where staff can explore their interests and nurture the interests of the children. Small groups allow for tailored teaching and ensure there are opportunities for exploration and investigation, including taking advantage of the area surrounding the school.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching children in KS1\/early KS2 and confident teaching core subjects. There may also be opportunities for professional growth and experience teaching throughout the school.<\/p>\n

At Norfolk House School, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. As part of our recruitment process, applicants will undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). We may also conduct online searches on shortlisted candidates and request details of their online profiles.<\/p>\n

The safeguarding responsibilities of the post are stated in full in the job description.<\/p>\n

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are \u201cspent\u201d unless they are \u201cprotected\u201d under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.<\/p>\n

This is a full-time post to begin in September 2026, although there may be an opportunity to start earlier.<\/p>\n
