It was amazing to see so many visitors enjoying the displays and spending time talking with the children about the work. Regarding the work itself, there were so many highlights that it is difficult to know where to start!<\/p>\n<p>The Year 1s had particularly interesting collections of models and sculptures this year. There was quite an outdoor theme including model playgrounds and some colourful garden sculptures. Lily\u2019s Van Gogh portrait was especially impressive too. Year 2 also had some sculptures on an outdoor theme \u2013 this time a city \u2013 but an abstract one in bright colours inspired by the paintings of Fernand Leger. Year 5\u2019s sculptures were inspired by another artist, Henri Rousseau and were a 3D interpretation of the artist\u2019s jungle paintings. Year 4 had created some very eye catching chairs on a theme of their choice and this created a focal point in the bay window to the back of the exhibition. The detail in the Year 3\u2019s Aborigine dot painting held everyone\u2019s attention as they admired the intricate patterns and shapes. A real highlight was the collection of Year 6 jewellery boxes which were beautifully decorated with fur fabric, jewels and gems. Altogether it was an impressive display and I would like to thank all of our pupils for their determined approach and endless enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs K.
