Hello Parents & Carers, it’s Paige (Forest School Lead) …Welcome to the first NHN Forest School Blog! The aim of this blog is to:

● Highlight activities that the children (across all three sites) have engaged in during their
sessions;
● Share updates and upcoming events;
● Share Forest School/Outdoor resources that you and your child/ren can participate in at home
and in the wider community;
● Share related articles, blogs, podcasts and other related content to support you and your child
build long-term relationships with the outdoors.

So far, since joining the NHN team, I have spent time visiting all three sites, getting to know the staff,
children and meeting some of you; not to mention becoming acquainted with all three Forest School
sites and preparing for the imminent sessions.

As I come to the end of phase preparation, some of you may have already started to receive letters
for your child/ren to participate in the upcoming sessions.

Some Preschooler’s across all three sites will be eligible to participate in sessions and, across some
sites, a weekly session will be available for Toddlers also.

The table below highlights the current schedule for sessions across all three sites. Furthermore, those
currently eligible to take part will receive letters within the next couple of weeks:

Don’t forget to check out this week’s take home resource “Minibeast Hunt Activity Sheet”. How many
minibeasts can you find at home or in the park? …
