Nursery Nurses, Edgbaston

Forest School Leader
£25,000 per year | Full-time
The Forest School Leader will work alongside nursery staff to deliver the Forest School and Outdoor learning experiences at all three Norfolk House Nursery (28 Harborne Road, Edgbaston; 3 Norfolk Road, Edgbaston; 4 Oxford Road, Moseley).
You will have a Forest School Level 3 qualification, an up-to-date Outdoor First Aid qualification and a minimum of one year post qualifying experience working with children from 0-5 years.
The Forest School Leader is expected to:
Be responsible for and maintain the Forest School area, plan, prepare and deliver purposeful and productive activities for children under Forest School guidelines and relevant risk assessments.
Work under direction/ instruction of the Nursery Manager (at the three sites) to ensure that Forest School/outdoor learning is on offer daily.
Select and use a range of different resources and teaching styles, appropriate to the forest school experience.
Promote positive management of behaviour in the Forest School/outdoor, outdoor learning environment; establish routines and boundaries to ensure the safety and good behaviour of the children.

Room Leaders, Edgbaston

We have some exciting opportunities for dedicated, experienced and motivated Room Leaders to join our established Nurseries in Edgbaston. We have the following openings:
Harborne Road: Babies Room Leader, Toddler Room Leader and Pre-school Room Leader
Norfolk Road: Maternity Cover Toddler Room Leader and Babies Room Leader
The Room Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day running of their department and supporting the management team ensuring the highest standards of care and education.
They will be caring, creative and a reflective leader able to implement new ideas and use a range of strategies to continually improve practice and support the management team.

Our premsies are lovingly restored and beautifully landscaped making each setting them a wonderful place in which to to work.
We occupy two settings in Edgbaston, which were rated ‘Oustanding’ at their last inspections in 2022, and a setting in Moseley which opened in May 2022. At the heart of our philosophy is the child as an individual, possessed of a unique blend of talents, interests and needs.

Fantastic facilities, friendly caring staff. Lots of activities and ways of learning. Very clean and lovely toys, beautiful landscaped garden with modern facilities. Overall I am very happy with the nursery.
