Welcome to

Norfolk House School

4 Norfolk Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham

Norfolk House School is an independent school in Birmingham for boys and girls between 3 and 11 years of age which prides itself upon academic excellence. The School occupies a beautiful period house which retains much of its original homely atmosphere.

It is located on the elegant and leafy Calthorpe Estate, just a few minutes’ drive from Birmingham city centre.  We limit our intake, ensuring that class numbers are small enough to allow close personal attention to be given to each and every pupil, an approach which is reflected in our excellent examination results.

The standards of work at Norfolk House School are very high. Our teaching methods uphold traditional values, emphasising the core areas of English and Mathematics as the essential basis for learning, whilst introducing innovation to further motivate our young learners.

Our pupils consistently perform very well in examinations for entry to the many excellent local authority grammar schools in Birmingham and to prestigious independent senior schools, the vast majority being offered places at their school of choice. We aim to impart not only a first-rate academic education, but also a complete social education which emphasises good manners, mutual respect and self-discipline. Norfolk House School is a Christian, non-denominational school, however, our pupils represent a variety of cultures and faiths.
