When I walk around the school, the enthusiasm the children have for creating Art is self-evident.  The topics being covered in each classroom are apparent from the plentiful and varied pieces displayed in every available space.  From our youngest children in Transition, who have been learning about the emergency services and have built fire engines, ambulances and life boats, to our eldest, who have been studying China and have made their own Terracotta army in clay, the enjoyment the children have taken from their work is obvious.  Recently, the children celebrated World Book Day over a whole week.  They created potato characters from their favourite books, took ‘Shelfie Selfies’ of themselves and decorated their classroom doors with a myriad of characters from their own imaginations.  One thing is for sure, the art projects have brought the learning in the classroom to life!
