On a bright, clear day, perfect for running, Norfolk House School took 31 runners from years 3-6 to the annual Midlands ISA Cross Country Championships at Bedstone College for the very first time. The course was very challenging, with a mix of terrain (including two streams and a lot of mud!) and gradients of varying steepness.
First up was the U9 girls, where Eleni K. performed superbly to secure 31st place out of approximately 100 runners. Notable mentions also for Ashley S. and Srika S. who were running despite being in Year 3. Ashley came home in 70th place, an admirable effort.
The U9 boys were next up and showed good promise, Dylan D coming in 69th and Arman O., again running a year young, in 71st place out of around 110 runners.
The U11 course was extremely difficult, but the Norfolk House boys and girls showed great grit and determination to never give up and keep going to the end.
Well done to all involved and a special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Dadra who made the long journey over to deepest Shropshire to support the team. A great experience and one which will stand the children in good stead for the future.
