Yesterday, our marvelous mathematicians traveled to Sheffield for the semi finals of the Quizclub Maths competition. The boys competed against 11 other teams from across the country and performed incredibly well considering the difficulty of some of the questions, and not being able to use pencil or paper for the first 20 questions of the quiz.
At half time, we were joint top with two other schools. As the competition continued into the problem solving round, the boys battled on and eventually were placed 3rd with a score of 1680 out of 2080. Well done to all four competitors, you did the school proud!
